Large-scale infrastructure is ultimately a coordination challenge, where successful outcomes depend on aligning hundreds of decisions across disciplines, stakeholders and delivery teams. At AECOM, I contributed to the £22.5B+ King Abdullah Financial District and the world's longest autonomous transit system, working alongside Zaha Hadid Architects and internationally distributed teams to translate ambitious design intent into coordinated, buildable solutions. Working across architecture, engineering and infrastructure, I helped align design quality, technical requirements and stakeholder priorities while maintaining coherence across multiple workstreams and decision-makers. The role demanded clear communication, structured problem solving and cross-functional collaboration to keep complex programmes moving at scale. The experience shaped the systems-thinking approach that continues to underpin my work today: breaking complex challenges into clear frameworks that enable people, disciplines and ideas to move forward together.
